The OPC UA Joint Working Group “Plastics and Rubber Machinery” has developed the new technical recommendation EUROMAP 91: Winders and unwinders.
This specification enables standardized data exchange for complex winder systems. The standard includes:
▪ Machine identification, configuration and status
▪ Process values of the material such as web tension, forces, web and winding speed as well as web widths including positioning along the material path
▪ Process values of the winding rolls such as diameter, running length, remaining running time and quality
▪ Cyclic information on the wound roll
The design of the standard also allows it to be used in other sectors, such as the printing and paper industry.
